Inaugural Greater Hudson Valley Walk Now for Autism Raises Over $110,000
The inaugural Greater Hudson Valley Walk Now for Autism took place on Saturday, September 27 in two locations – the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area in Stony Point, N.Y. and a satellite location at the Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, N.Y. Together the two events drew more than 800 enthusiastic attendees on 92 walk teams and raised more than $110,000.
Rockland County Legislator and Camp Venture President John Murphy addressed the crowd during opening ceremonies. Sullivan County Legislator Leni Binder and 98th District Assembly member Aileen Gunther also shared their enthusiasm and support with the crowd. Walkers were entertained with music by Jeffrey Friedberg and the Bossy Frog Band.
