Request for Applications: Basic & Clinical Research

Autism Speaks invites grant applications in all areas of basic and clinical research that will advance its biomedical and behavioral research mission, including but not limited to: human behavior (language, communication, social interaction) neurosciences (anatomy, pathology, development, imaging, cognition), human genetics/genomics, immunology, endocrinology, molecular and cellular mechanisms; and studies employing model organisms.

Deadline for letters of intent is January 16, 2009 at 11:59 PM (EST).

Request for Applications: Treatment Research

Autism Speaks invites grant applications to conduct clinical studies of evidence-based therapies and novel treatment approaches for children and adults with ASD. These may include complementary and alternative forms of health care; pharmacological and/or behavioral treatments; and evaluation of the efficacy, safety or therapeutic benefits of interventions.

Deadline for letters of intent is December 1, 2008 at 11:59 PM (EST).

Request for Applications: Treatments for Gastrointestinal Dysfunction in Children and Adolescents with ASD

Autism Speaks invites applications for pilot grants to conduct research on treatments for GI dysfunction in children and adolescents with autism. These proposals will be reviewed by a committee with expertise in pharmacology, clinical trials research, gastroenterology and clinical science.

Deadline for applications is December 8, 2008 at 11:59 pm EST (Note new deadline).
