St. Louis Cardinals Host Autism Awareness Night at Busch Stadium
On August 16, 2006, the St. Louis Cardinals hosted Autism Awareness Night at Busch Stadium. Local volunteers and their children were recognized in a pre-game ceremony on the field. A television ad from the Ad Council awareness campaign featuring a young boy playing baseball was screened on the stadium Jumbotron, and a print version of the ad was included in the game day program. Volunteers also had informational tables throughout the stadium with information about autism, Autism Speaks, and the upcoming St. Louis Walk for Autism Research.
