Federal Legal Aid Project Launched
|
|
|
The Federal Legal Appeal Project, established by the Autism Speaks Family Services Committee, will offer free legal support to families whose Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act-based hearings have been decided at the administrative level and appealed to the federal level. Several law firms have generously donated their time to review the cases, and serve as representation for selected clients. Read more about the project and the required submission criteria.

Scientific Journal Spotlights Research on Early Autism

The January 2007 issue of the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, dedicated to the “The Very Early Autism Phenotype,” features 14 manuscripts about early autism published by Autism Speaks-funded researchers, including members of the Autism Speaks-funded High Risk Baby Siblings Research Consortium. The Bachman Company Partners with Autism Speaks

Beginning in February, and running through April, Autism Awareness Month, special bags of Bachman's products will feature stickers with autism awareness information. The stickers will direct people to the Autism Speaks website to learn the early signs of autism. Read more.
